Edge carton sealer that tapes all four top and bottom edges of centre-sealed cartons, reinforcing them for heavy loads and export.
Overview
A centre-sealed carton passes through the machine, which applies printed or plain tape along all four top and bottom edges, the corners where cartons split under load. Edge taping strengthens the box for heavy contents, long-distance transport and stacking, and keeps out dust and insects. PLC control and pneumatics run the taping heads automatically for cartons from 200 to 500 mm long and 180 to 500 mm high, and the machine usually sits straight after a centre-seam carton sealer. It is used for appliances, export cartons, auto parts, FMCG and e-commerce.
