Telescopic belt conveyor that extends into the truck or container, so cartons and bags are loaded and unloaded without carrying them by hand.
Overview
A telescopic conveyor is a belt conveyor built in nested sections that slide out one from inside another. At the dock it extends deep into the truck body or container, bringing the end of the belt to wherever the loader is standing, then retracts as the vehicle fills. Cartons, bags and parcels travel on the belt instead of being carried, which speeds up loading, reduces the number of people needed and cuts strain injuries. Two- to five-section versions suit different truck lengths, with controls at the front for the operator, and options include a hydraulic lift to raise and lower the boom, a heightening frame and a mobile wheeled base.
