PLC-controlled automatic side sealer for continuous POF shrink wrapping of long and variable-length products.
Overview
A PLC runs the continuous side seal and the cross-seal, with sensors detecting each product as it arrives. Because the film is sealed along the side rather than by an L-bar, there is no limit on product length: profiles, mouldings, wooden blocks, tubes, long boxes and multipacks up to 150–210 mm high are wrapped at a steady pace. Perforators at the film cradle release trapped air for a smooth shrink, and the Teflon-coated alloy blade seals cleanly and is easy to maintain. It feeds directly into a shrink tunnel.
